ATAC SYSTEMS was asked to demonstrate the training capabilities of the Simair weapons and the training staff for
Battery C 2nd Bn 116th Field Artillery Florida Army National
Guard in Winter Haven, Florida. An improvised training range was set up for the staff and soldiers. They were allowed to test examples
of SIMAIR weapons that replicate most military issue weapons, i.e. the M9 9mm, M16 service rifle, M4 carbine, M249 SAW, M60
and the M14. The troops found the Simair weapons to be accurate and would enhance their ability to train in
"real-world-scenario" conditions without a dedicated facility.
These conditions could include Close-Quarter Battle Drills, Convoy training, Improvised MOUT training, Common
Task Test (CTT), Barricade, and checkpoint training.
